Gran Canaria drops to covid alert level 3 and 100% of the capacity is restored

All other Islands stay the same.

The spokesman for the Government of the Canary Islands, Julio Pérez, announced at a press conference after the meeting of the Governing Council, that Gran Canaria has dropped to level 3 of covid alert , after the improvement of its epidemiological indicators. Meanwhile, the rest of the islands remain in the one they already were (Tenerife, La Gomera, La Palma, El Hierro and Fuerteventura in 3; and Lanzarote in 2).

The level change will take effect at 00:00 tomorrow.

Pérez also reports that Health has reached an agreement to modify or modulate the restrictive measures to contain covid. One of the most significant is that all level 1, 2 and 3 islands will have the level 1 measures applied .

Establishments will recover 100% capacity, as well as tourist guide activities and sports practice. The new measures will come into force at 00:00 hours on Monday, March 7, and will be in force temporarily until April 30
