1 in 200 islanders refuses to get vaccinated

Less than 0.5% of people who could have been vaccinated in the Canary Islands have refused to receive the vaccine that will protect them against coronavirus.

This is a much lower volume than the authorities had foreseen, as just a few weeks before the vaccine campaign began, 16.7% of the population claimed that it would not be vaccinated under any circumstances, as found in the Barometer conducted by the Centre for Sociological Research (CIS) on 4 December.
