A great Atlantic storm loaded with rain will hit the peninsula and the Canary Islands this Friday
Spring is characterized by having frequent changes in the atmospheric situation. For this reason, the fluctuation of rainfall that has been taking place in recent days is not strange, although now this will begin to change, according to José Antonio Maldonado, director of Meteorology of the Meteored platform, who predicts the arrival of an Atlantic storm this end of the week that will affect the peninsula and, from Saturday, the Canary Islands.
Likewise, as Meteored points out in a statement, the storm may drag an African air mass into the Archipelago that will cause a new outbreak of haze.
The European Center for Medium-Term Weather Forecasts for this weekend predicts rainfall in the Canary Islands that will enter from this Friday through La Palma and will extend through Tenerife, El Hierro and, to a lesser extent, La Gomera and the interior of Gran Canaria.
On Saturday it will be presented with relatively cloudy skies and rains that will be more intense from 6:00 p.m. in the south of Tenerife and in the east of Gran Canaria, according to the European model. For Sunday, the rains will fall with more force in the north of Tenerife during the early morning, rains that will subside from 12.00 hours.
