More cops will control access to Santa Cruz beaches from next weekend
The Governing Board of the City council of Santa Cruz de Tenerife has decided this morning to create a working group to coordinate actions to alleviate traffic conditions in the accesses to the bathing areas of Anaga and Las Teresitas. It has agreed after analysing the situation of heavy traffic that has been experienced this weekend in the area and which motivates immediate action, some of which could come into operation this same weekend.
The first measures, which will come into operation this weekend, will be the reinforcement of the police presence in the area, to control accesses and parking areas, as well as Civil Protection personnel and even the informing agents who have just joined the city, who can carry out some of their work in this area of the municipality.
In addition, the Government's Sub-Delegation will be given the need to increase the presence of the Civil Guard on the Anaga roads, where the competences of the Local Police are limited in the case of island-level roads.
