October sets a temperature record at Tenerife weather station with 35º
The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has stated that the C447A station, located at the Los Rodeos airport, in Tenerife, has set a new maximum temperature record in the month of October since records began in 1941: the thermometers reached 35º last Friday, between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm.
The previous record had been set on October 13, 2017, when 34.5º was reached at this station. October then continued as a very warm month with episodes of haze that took place over 31 days.
As October continues Tenerife sees this week with cloud in the north. In the southwest and during late afternoon, cloud accompanied by light rain. In the rest of the island slightly cloudy mostly in the afternoon. Generally temperatures will be decreasing and will be especially noticeable in the high lands and midlands and there will be a Northeast wind.
