Plans announced for vaccinated travel corridors between Spain and UK
Tourism Secretary Fernando Valdes has said that the Spanish Government is investigating bilateral deals with non-EU member states to form travel corridors for this summers holiday season.
It’s understood if the EU does not reach an agreement over travel corridors, Spain may allow visitors from countries not part of the EU providing they have been vaccinated.
Talks between the UK and Spain have already begun to confirm common standards between them over recognition of immunisations.
The comments on Bloomberg come a day after European Council President Ursula von der Leyen revealed an upcoming EU-wide health passport plan.
