Seven boats with 298 migrants arrive in the Canary Islands
Seven boats with 298 people arrived in the Canary Islands on Saturday. The migrants, 26 of them minors, have been rescued in waters near Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, El Hierro, Lanzarote and Tenerife. Four people were evacuated to hospitals, including a child. In addition, around 06:00 this Sunday, 112 was alerted of a possible boat from Órzola, one kilometre out to sea in the north of Lanzarote. At around 07:30 am, Al Nair proceeded to rescue 26 Maghreb men, who would eventually disembark in Arrecife.
