Tenerife alert level could rise.

The Ministry of Health of the Canary Islands Government does not rule out raising the alert level in Tenerife, and with it the severity of the restrictions, if the COVID-19 infection curve on the island, which is steadily increasing, cannot be halted in the next few days. This was announced by the Regional Minister of Health, who indicated that in view of the fact that “we have been in this situation for several weeks now”, the regional government is considering the option of “adopting more restrictive measures” to try to change the trend in Tenerife. The Governing Council will meet this Wednesday when a decision will be taken on whether to tighten or maintain the restrictions in Tenerife.
