Tenerife goes to level 1 and Fuerteventura is still in level 2

The Government of the Canary Islands updates the health alert levels after the corresponding report of the General Directorate of Public Health, in which a decrease of 22% is found in the daily average of COVID-19 cases reported in the Canary Islands during the last week, as well as a decreasing trend in the last fifteen days.

As a result of this favourable evolution of the pandemic indicators, the island of Tenerife drops to alert level 1 at the epidemiological traffic light and the rest of the islands remain in the same situation: Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro, at alert level 1, and Fuerteventura, at level 2.

This change will take place at 00:00 this Friday, October 8, after updating the well-known traffic light on the website of the Ministry of Health.
