Tourist vouchers for Canary Holidays
The Government of the Canary Islands is going to launch a tourist voucher, similar to the one that has been designed in other autonomous , to encourage this summer the holidays of Canarians on the islands and also, attract national tourists and hopefully achieve lengthening their stays.
The bulk of this money, around ten million euros, is going to be used to subsidise part of the holiday of the Canaries who decide to stay on the islands from 1 July. This departure will also give incentives to domestic travellers who extend their stay in the archipelago. In this case it will be processed through travel agencies although the system has not yet been defined.
